John 17:20-23
Lucy and Linus were watching television. Lucy didn’t like Linus’ choice of program and so she demanded that he change the channel. They argued about it for awhile and Lucy finally threatened him with her fist if he did not change to the channel she desired. At this Linus responded, “What makes you think you can walk right in here and take over?\” Lucy answered, \”These five fingers. Individually they\’re nothing but when I curl them together like this into a single unit, they form a weapon that is terrible to behold.\” It was quiet for a few moments and then Lunus said, \”Which channel do you want?\” Turning away from her he looked at his fingers and said, \”Why can\’t you guys get organized like that?\”
When things are not going well in the local congregation it would be wise for the people of God to quietly access the situation and then spend some valuable knee time asking God to bind them together in unity. With His help, we can be organized into a powerful entity for righteousness.
