Teamwork

Ephesians 4:11-13(13)

Conflict is sure to surface when ball hog is teamed with a better ball hog. This seems to have happened in the NBA. Chris Webber, former Sacramento Kings ball hog now plays for the Philadelphia 76ers. He has discovered that Allen Iverson is more efficient at playing the game virtually by himself.

The Church is not a place for ball hogs. It is not a one man show. God’s model requires unity among the people of God. Paul outlined this when he explained that we are gifted and commissioned to accomplish different tasks in the body of Christ. Teamwork is needed. Andrew Carnegie said, \”Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.\”

All born again believers are necessary to accomplish the work of God. Stephen Covey said, \”Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.\” Together, working like a well oiled machine our \”team\” in unity can assure that the saints are prepared for their part in God’s mission.
